The Success Tips – Seven Steps For Reaching Your Goals

Filed Under (Financial Success, Self Help, Success, Uncategorized, self improvement) by ryan on 29-04-2008

Everyone knows that setting goals will help you achieve more and adds excitement and meaning to life. But setting goal is only the beginning. We often fail to following through, and our goals turn into unfulfilled daydreams. To eliminate that pitfall, here is a step by step, seven steps approach that will help you turn your goals into realities.

  1. Decide what you want to achieve. Determine exactly what you want. Be specific. Be sure your goal is measurable, so you can tell when you are making progress. Pick a target date for achieving it. Be sure it is realistically achievable.

  1. Ask yourself why it is important for you to achieve this goal. How you will benefit from reaching these goals? Knowing why you want something raises your level of motivation. The higher your motivation level, the more likely you are to act on your own goal. In addition, highly motivated people are more likely to make any sacrifice necessary to reach their goal.

  1. Consider what obstacles, problems, or personal shortcomings might block your progress. List every one you can think of. Some obstacles will be real, others may be only imaginary. You must conquer both.

  1. Examine the obstacle one at a time, and think about how you might solve each problem. Ask others to help you brainstorm for solutions.

  1. List the people who could help you achieve your goal. Decide specifically what you will ask them to do.

  1. Consider what information you need that you don’t have now. Where will you get it? What could you read? Who would you talk to? What seminar could you attend?

  1. Write out a detailed action plan for achieving your goal. What are the priorities involved? Which tasks must be done first? When will different actions take place?

Setting goal is a good step, but it is only the beginning. It takes all seven steps to make sure you actually following through, and by so doing achieve your goal.

Success Tips - Goals are Road map

Filed Under (Self Help, Success, Uncategorized, self improvement) by ryan on 26-04-2008

Goal is very important if we want to be successful in life. If you want were planning to drive somewhere you would never been before, wouldn’t you consult a road map?

Life is also the same way. You can wander along never knowing for sure where you are going, or you can set goals and develop plans. Goals and plans are like road maps. They guarantee you a smooth trip, but they will tell you the right direction in which to travel. Without them, life is like getting lost in a freeway interchange. You can go around in circle for a long time with out getting anywhere.

Some people hesitate to get goals. One rationale I have heard lately is that that it’s better to have no goals and be pleasantly surprised when good things happen, than to set goals and be discouraged when you fail to reach them. That’s an interesting, but dangerous approach.

It’s idealistic to assume that good things will automatically happen. It’s fatalistic to assume that one will; fail to reach a goal. Those who set goals achieve them far more often than they fail. They also have more good things happening in their lives.

When you’re out for a Sunday drive with no destination in mind, you may not need a road map – unless, of course, you become lost and can’t find your way home. While Sunday driving may be a relaxing way to spend the afternoon, it’s a poor way to spend your life.

Remember, a road map to Miami I no guarantee of a vacation in the sun, but it will tell you which way to drive

SUCCESS AND SELF IMPROVEMENT

Filed Under (Financial Success, Success, Uncategorized, self improvement) by ryan on 13-04-2008

Everything that happens to us happens in purpose. And sometimes, one thing leads to another. Instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over past heartaches, embarrassment and failures, treat them as your teachers and they will become your tools in both self improvement and success.

So, when does self improvement become synonymous with success? Where do we start? Take these tips, friends…

Stop thinking and feeling as if you’re a failure, because you’re not. How can others accept you if YOU can’t accept YOU?

When people feel so down and low about themselves, help them move up. Don’t go down with them. They’ll pull you down further and both of you will end up feeling inferior.

The world is a large room for lessons, not mistakes. Don’t feel stupid and doomed forever just because you failed on a science quiz. There’s always a next time. Make rooms for self improvement.

Take things one at a time. You don’t expect black sheep’s to be goody-two-shoes in just a snap of a finger. Self improvement is a one day at a time process.

Self improvement results to inner stability, personality development and dig this …. SUCCESS. It comes from self confidence, self appreciation and self esteem.

Set meaningful and achievable goals. Self improvement doesn’t turn you to be the exact replica of Cameron Diaz or Ralph Fiennes. It hopes and aims to result to an improved and better YOU.

When we’re being appreciative about beautiful things around us and other people, we also become beautiful to them.

When you’re willing to accept change and go through the process of self improvement, it doesn’t mean that everyone else is. The world is a place where people of different values and attitude hang out. Sometimes, even if you think you and your best friend always like to do the same thing together at the same time, she would most likely decline an invitation for self improvement.

We should always remember that there’s no such thing as ‘over night success’. Its always a wonderful feeling to hold on to the things that you already have now, realizing that those are just one of the things you once wished for.

A very nice quote says that “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” We are all here to learn our lessons. Our parents, school teachers, friends, colleagues, officemates, neighbors… they are our teachers. When we open our doors for self improvement, we increase our chances to head to the road of success.

What Is Success? why is it important to you?

Filed Under (Financial Success, Success, Uncategorized, self improvement) by ryan on 06-04-2008

Success means diffidently for different people. In my opinion, There are seven element of success.

1) Peace of mind

The first and most important element is peace of mind. In order to be success, we must be able to free from from anger, fear and guilt.

2) Health and energy

The second important element of success is to have good health and high level of energy. If we do not have good health and energy, we won’t get very much satisfaction from life.

3) Financial freedom

The third important requirement is financial freedom - as we can not enjoy life if we we are worry about not having enough money, how we are going to pay our bill, how are we going to survive from tomorrow.

4) Loving relationship

The forth important element is loving relationships - it is long- term, intimate, mature relationship with other people. Most of your happiness and unhappiness in life comes from your relationships with others, and it is your relationship with others that make you truly human

5) Worthy goals and ideas.

The fifth important element is commitment to worthy goal and ideas - as man need for meaning and purposes is the single drive in human nature.

6) Self-knowledge and Self awareness

The sixth element of success is self-knowledge and self awareness as through out all of history, self knowledge has gone hand in hand with inner happiness and outer achievement. In order to perform at your best, you need to know who you are and why you think and feel the way you do.

7) Personal Fulfillment.

The final element is a feeling of personal fulfillment or What Abraham Maslow called self-actualization - a feeling that we are becoming everything we are capable of becoming.

Understanding the seven basic element of success will give you a series of target to aim at. When you define your life in ideal terms, when you have the courage to decide exactly what you wan, you begin the process of unlocking your hidden potential to success.
